At the close of business Australian CST Mozilla’s goal of 5 million downloads of their new version of Firefox was passed. With the time to download carring on for another 10 hours, it looks as though they may well exceed this expectation and possibly reaching 7 – 8m by 3am. No doubt this result is a clear indication of the triumphs and success of this project and vivid reminder of the importance of open source in our industry.
